Chief Justice Linda English Weeks was born in Oklahoma City to Clarence and Patty Wallace. Her grandmother, Susie Goins Wallace, was an original Chickasaw enrollee. She is the great-granddaughter of Susan Thomas Goins and great-great granddaughter of Chickasaws Robert and Caroline Thomas.
Chief Justice Weeks received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma, College of Law. During law school, she was a member of the Native American Law Student Association, and the Organization for Advancement of Women in Law.
She was first elected to the Chickasaw Nation Supreme Court in 2015, and has served as Chief Justice during the 2017-2018 and 2020-2021 terms.
Chief Justice Weeks is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma, Class XVIII. She is a member of the Chickasaw Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is a fellow of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation. She is the general counsel and senior program officer for the Sarkeys Foundation, a charitable foundation that funds nonprofits across Oklahoma.
She is married to retired U.S. Marshal Charles T Weeks II, and they reside in Norman, Oklahoma. They have three grown children, John English, Evan English and Courtney Risley, and four granddaughters.
