Justice Linda English Weeks

Justice Linda English Weeks was born in Oklahoma City to Clarence and Patty Wallace.   Her grandmother, Susie Goins Wallace, was an original Chickasaw enrollee.  She is the great granddaughter of original enrollee Susan Thomas Goins and great-great granddaughter of Chickasaws Robert and Caroline Thomas.

Linda received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma, College of Law.  During law school she was a member of the Native American Law Student Association, and the Organization for Advancement of Women in Law.  She also received certification from the Mediation Institute for Civil-Commercial and Family Law Mediation.  She has established the Linda English Weeks Second Century Scholarship for Native American law students at the University of Oklahoma, College of Law.

Chief Justice Weeks is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma, Class XVIII, and Leadership Norman.  She is a member of the Chickasaw Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  She is a Fellow of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation.   Linda is the General Counsel and Program Officer for the Sarkeys Foundation.  The Sarkeys Foundation is a charitable foundation that funds non-profits across Oklahoma. 

Linda is married to Charles T. Weeks II, and they reside in Norman, OK.  They have three grown children, John English, Evan Jayne English and Courtney Risley and three granddaughters, Mason, Bowen and Everett.
